CARING FOR EXTENSIONS
Sulphate free shampoo is recommended for the care of extensions to keep the hair soft and tangle free. Use a loop paddle brush to detangle the hair when wet after applying conditioner. Be sure to use a thermal protectant spray and leave in conditioner before blow drying and a spray glossifier to add shine to the hair. Avoid heavy oils to keep the hair from being weighed down but using a serum will control frizz.
COLOR TREATMENT
When wearing color, use a shampoo and conditioner designed to help maintain the vibrancy of the color worn. This is especially true for reds since they have a tendency to fade especially when exposed to the elements.
LOC MAINTENANCE
In order for locs to form, the hair has to mat which means there will be a very limited amount of shedding causing the hair to hold on to hair that would have normally come out during the shedding phase. Locs hold dirt and odors more so than loose hair so it is important keep them clean and free of product build up. Use a cleansing shampoo to remove dirt and oil followed by a sulfate free to soften. Condition locs with a creme conditioner that rinses out or a leave in to moisturize.
